Job Description: Mechanical Technician (Qatar)

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to join our team in Qatar. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems and machinery across various industries. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and machinery in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, and HVAC systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify and address mechanical issues before they lead to equipment failure.
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs or adjustments as necessary.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and manuals to ensure accurate installation, maintenance, and repair work.
• Ensure that all mechanical systems are in compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve machinery and mechanical systems for efficiency and performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed on equipment.
• Provide recommendations for upgrades or improvements to mechanical systems based on performance data.
• Perform welding, cutting, and other metalworking tasks as needed for repairs and maintenance.
• Assist in the installation of new machinery and mechanical systems, ensuring proper calibration and operation.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment at all times.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or in a similar role, with hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical systems.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing machinery, HVAC systems, pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
• Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to mechanical systems.
• Proficient in using various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Preferred:

• Experience working in Qatar or the GCC region.
• Certification in mechanical or industrial maintenance.
• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and automation.
