Job Description: Civil Engineer (Qatar)

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our client in Qatar. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with local regulations and quality standards. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver successful infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, plan, and manage construction projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure.
• Ensure that projects comply with local and international construction codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop efficient and cost-effective project solutions.
• Prepare detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Oversee the construction process, ensuring quality control, safety, and compliance with specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to monitor project progress and resolve any issues.
• Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and construction documentation.
• Manage project risks and implement corrective actions as necessary to stay on track with timelines and budgets.
• Liaise with government authorities and stakeholders to ensure project approvals and permits are obtained.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as a Civil Engineer, with at least [X] years of experience in construction and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and engineering principles.
• Familiarity with design software and project management tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project).
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Knowledge of Qatari construction laws, codes, and regulations is a plus.
• Valid Qatari driving license is a plus.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) or membership in engineering societies.
• Experience working in Qatar or the GCC region.
